EP Client Ian’s 250mile challenge…

The Energised Team of clients are brilliant … always up to something! This month it is Ian Webster’s turn. A regular to the Energised Bootcamp’s he is off for a couple of weeks for a personal challenge – read on, find out and more, and if you can support his chosen charity, Access Sport, even £1 it will make a difference – we look forward to the updates!
As some of you may be aware, in a couple of weeks time, I’m doing a long distance walk – the Pennine Way from Derbyshire to Scotland. At just over 250 miles, it promises to be a tough challenge, but it’s a long held ambition of mine to do this walk, and an experience I’m really looking forward to after a fair amount of training & prep!
I start in from Edale in the Peak District on Tuesday 22 June and (according to the plan) I finish at Kirk Yetholm near Kelso in Scotland on Thursday 7 July. That takes me from the Peak District, to the Yorkshire Dales, Teesdale & Tynedale, before tracking along Hadrians Wall and finishing in the Cheviot Hills. Most days are 15-20 miles and I’ll be updating on my progress (& challenges it throws up), via Twitter & Facebook.
As is the tradition with such events, I’m also looking to raise some money for a good cause while I’m doing this challenge. My chosen charity is Access Sport, who work with local volunteers to provide children in disadvantaged areas of the UK with access to a wide variety of sporting activities. They use sport is a proven means of engaging young people, providing mentors, developing life skills and a basis for good health.
You can find my fundraising page at the attached link below and I’d be very grateful for any support and donations you can make to this fantastic cause.
Energised Performance, Coaches and Team would like to wish you the VERY BEST of LUCK and look forward to hearing all about it at the Summer Meal on 11th July, and the Relays on the 12th July – everyone welcome to join us!
Happy weekends.
