Pancakes themselves are a staple breakfast food however what you add to them can make them healty or very high in fat & sugar. Try adding fruit either chopped up in the batter mix or as your topping e.g. blueberries, bananas, apples, pumpkin & cranberries, this will add a natural sweetness plus give you some of your daily vitamins. Or try a savoury option, my personal favourite is spinach, broccoli, peppers & houmous.
