Energised Thoughts & Festive Workouts – No Kit Required….

We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Time whatever and wherever you were!  I headed up to North Scotland where the phone reception is non exsistent and my Mum lives in a traditional old LongCroft which used to be a cow barn….  and my brothers, sister, cousins and Mum were waiting.  When we are all there it is quite a squash and so much fun!

Taking time out for rest, relaxation and reflection is so important at times throughout the year.  I always take the week between Christmas and New Year off to fine tune 2012 plans, recharge and spend some good time with people close to me.

I always head off into the mountains too, much to the amusement of my family who don’t join me! Yesterday I went for a run, which was literally so windy that I think I was running backwards, yet it was totally energising. I have some favourite runs all over the UK, but the ones around where my Mum lives are wild, challenging and hardly ever involve seeing anyone else. Complete freedom and a great way to create some brilliant Energised ideas….

What are you up to for the 12 Days of Christmas?  Have you set your mini goals for these days to keep everything in balance, and make sure you start the New Year in the best way possible. Take a moment if you are working, relaxing or travelling to write down your mini goals and start to fine tune your New Years Resolutions ove the next few days.

Aim to do at least 30mins of walking daily, and a 60min cardio session every 2-3 days to boost your energy, metabolic system (fat burning) and overal wellbeing.
