At Energised HQ we often get lots of trainers to test, currently we are testing some from Mizuno, and loving them.   I wonder what your No1 Trainers are?  I love to know…. do share below or tweet me @kimingleby

as Head Coach of Energised I am testing two pairs of Mizuno trainers,  as their technology and progression in minimal, wild and efficient running has been noted by many.  They arrived in sealed bags so they must be good….. And Like an exam for the Mizuno Trainer, will they perform with my feet and get an A*? Do you like them, have you tested them?

First up will be the Mizuno Evo Ferus (Grey ones in the bag), a perfect arrival as the Autumn and mud starts to appear.  I love the mud so look forward to testing these in my favourite playground that is Blaise Castle.  Where is your no1 off road training run in the UK and abroad?

The Mizuno Evo has the Dynomotion Fit Technology which allows you to get the most from your natural ability. This shoe will give you a secure fit, whilst allow your foot to move freely, I look forward to the test!

Mizuno say:

“From heel strike to mid stride to toe off, Dynamotion Fit is all about creating a shoe that works with your foot through the design and materials we use to create it. As your foot twists, bends, and stretches in each step, the shoe upper moves with you. Flex Eyelets help keep your heel secure throughout your stride by allowing the upper to stretch and contract as needed. And Stretch Mesh eliminates bunching and pulling that can create discomfort and even blisters–especially at toe-off. Together, the features of Dynamotion Fit create a shoe that gets out of your way, so you can become the best runner you can be.”

In Summary….

“Mizunos EVO concept hits the trails. Light versatile and fun. EVO wave is perfectly adapted to trail where you run more on your forefoot. Superb fitting upper offering just enough protection without a lot of extra weight. X lug sole for superb versatile grip.”

Second up is the Mizuno Sayonara which is their new light weight training shoe, which looks and feels amazing, I can’t wait to get onto the roads and test this.  I will be taking this shoe all the way to the Great South Run, where I am part of #TeamSouth with Iwan Thomas. Maybe he will even test a pair out too! I know my running friend and super speedy tested Fiona Bulger came 4th in the Bristol Half Marathon running in these!! So they must be good 🙂

With Mizuno Smooth Ride, Wave Technology and Dynomotion Fit, this advanced technical shoe is ready and waiting for the test. Here’s what  Mizuno says, “An exciting new light training shoe featuring the new U4iC midsole that delivers an amazing cushioning to weight ratio. The Sayonara delivers mile after mile of light cushioned stable fun.”
