Gethin Jones chats to EP….

gethinjones.jpgIn less than three weeks, on Friday 21st March, Bristol’s Marriot Royal will hold one of the most high profile Charity Events of the Year – hosted by Gethin Jones & Kim Ingleby. The event has received great press coverage and support, with only 3 tickets left! Kim has been putting together a truly amazing, and very special night for the guests and stars – with the aim of raising over £10k for the charities, Penny Brohn Cancer Care and Beatbullying, as well as making it the most amazing night! This is all part of her aim to raise £30k in her 30th year for a number of charities …..

Last week she caught up with her co host Gethin, and asked a few questions ……

* Why he decided to get involved with the StrictlyEnergised Chairty Ball that I am organising and what do the charities, Beatbullying and Penny Brohn mean to you?
I was bullied at school, and cancer affects everyone somehow, so naturally I was keen to help out if I could. Plus I get to dance with Camilla again…..(we were going to keep that as a surprise but hey……..if you are coming you are now totally spoilt with Camilla dancing two dances with Ian and Gethin……..!)

* What is your favourite dance/music is and why?
The waltz and the salsa were my favourite dances on SCD. ‘If you were a painting’ was the song for the waltz, very powerful and emotional and the salsa music is all about having fun, which was exactly what we did! ( A clue to what they might dance to one the night……)
* What is your top tip forlearning to ballroom dance?
Listen to your teacher!

* What do you do to relax?
Watch sport, see my mates and spend time with my 8 year old nephew!

* Are you still dancing and what is your next challenge ?
I’ll be dancing with Camilla for the first time since Strictly at the Charity Ball!! In between that I’ll be racing a horse, climbing the 4 highest mountains in the UK in 48 hours and travelling to China! (Pretty impressive we think …..Kim rode a horse across the Andes in 6 days from Argentina to Chile for the Princes Trust, not that we are competing!)

Kim would like to thank Gethin for taking the time to answers the questions – Good Luck with your challenges and we look forward to welcoming you to the Sold Out Strictly Energised Charity Ball!. To read what Ian and Camilla said in their interview – have a look at the blog earlier in the month.
