First up we headed to the Inspirational Talk in aid of the Mitchemp Trust called a Evening of Adventure, Going Beyond with Energised Martin Hartley, Paul Rose & Jon Gupta. They talked about their extreme adventures from mountains to polar regions, to the depths of the ocean. Really inspiring and motivating and totally in line with the Energised Philosophy. Definitely triggered out desire for an adventure! We shall keep you posted and leave you with this thought… if you could do one stretch goal, that would make you really happy, what would it be, and when will you begin to make it happen?
Later in the week we headed to Licence to Thrill with Brendan Cole at Bristol Hippodrome, with a mixed group of clients from triathletes to horse riders! We were a bit unsure what to expect, and if everyone would enjoy it. However, it was totally brilliant, each person loved it, wonderful dance routines & thought, energy & passion, the big band were outstanding & conversations lively and entertaining. Dance & music really is good for soul…. and the Jive finale is something I aspire to do. Over the years I have had a the pleasure of working with many dancers, and they are always focused, passionate, inspiring people. My thought from this is…. what do you love to do, that when you do it, you get completely lost in the moment, and it totally expresses you? These are the moments that give you the courage to stretch your boundary further.
The next day I headed to the Triathlon Show, similar to the passion of dance but slightly different! I had a great time catching up with various companies I work with, firstly Rob from Mizuno UK who I am part of the UK Super Blogger Team, testing their Minimalist EVO Shoes (check previous blogs to find out more). If you are not a Mizuno Runner, check their latest range out, the technology has really improved and the colour range is bang on trend! Torq Fitness we have stocked for years and we collected lots of gels, energy drinks and Ribose for clients running the Virgin London Marathon, plus had an interesting chat to Matt the owner about the Yak Attack (google, then don’t ask!). Moving on, we touched base with Triathlon Plus & the editor Liz, who interviewed us for some Mental Strength Tips coming in a future issue, designed to give you the edge. We collected some Bounce Balls (no sugar, protein energy balls we love), met up with lots of athletes, updated our 2XU recovery kit and had a great time.
After this, it was fine tuning for a few athletes & a BIG Good Luck to Team Energised racing at the Bath, Paris, Eastbourne & Hogweed Hilly Half Marathon & Abu Dhabi Triathlon! I LOVE giving people the confidence to believe they can do a race. Honestly, anyone can it’s just about finding the right support, planning your training, looking after your body and enjoying the journey. A Massive Well Done to the whole team who completed their various races, with a special well done to Karen Morris who gained a 7min PB (!) and Tim Pocock who gained a PB too, plus Sam, Dan, Dave, Tacey, Simone, Alex M, Fiona, Kate, Suzanne, Whisky, Justin, Doug and co who all completed great races. If you would like to join the Team, we are planning to take 213 women with Pink Lady Apples to complete the Bristol Race for Life 5km on 7th July (spread the word), Fit Challenge at B-Fit/BodyPower Show 18th May, Portishead Triathlon 30th June, the Sri Chimnoy Relays on 23rd July (1mile everyone welcome) & a road trip to the Amsterdam Marathon on 20th October to give you a few incentives…..
So that’s our weekend round up. I hope you are inspired and motivated by this to make March Magnificent, and if we can help you achieve just that do let us know.
With lots of Energised Power’s and Support Kim and the Team…
