The Fittest Survived in Cardiff….!

What a weekend of activity Team Energised has had….. Survival of the Fittest, Barcelona Ironman (craziness and more Survival of the Fittest than Cardiff I think…?!!), Stratford Triathlon, Inverness 10km and Oldbury 10 miler – phew! Well done everyone…

So with race reports awaiting for the other races…. head coach Kim set of with Team EP to Cardiff on a lovely sunny morning, plus honoury Team EP members from David Lloyd (we like to think we encouraged them to enter!).

There was much nervous energy as we awaited the starting gun for Wave 4 @ 10.45am unsure what was ahead of us….we set off clambering over large hay bales which I am sure my childhood experiences of growing up on a farm benefited me at this moment! This followed a run for 1-2km, combined with a variety of ‘challenges’ from being soaked by the local fire engine to wading through Cardiff bay waters, crawling through netting, tunnels, clambering over metal frames, jumping over bouncy castles filled with water and running up and down the steps in the Cardiff Stadium – brilliant….oh and jumping on top of a car (of course!).

I think we were all surprised by the effect of the challenges on our overall 10km running speed, by I am pleased and proud to say that everyone in the Team completed and more challenges are being requested – coming soon I promise!!

So a Huge well done for the effort, energy, bravery and determination to everyone who completed including Sarah (in the photo – any other photos please send our way to upload!), Lorraine, Kate, Alex, Tessa, Ross, James, Camilla, Natalie, Mark, Luke & Debbie! Brilliant effort… we look forward to reading your comments below!
