It is safe to say I have ‘used’ them!! I love them, really light and quick to run in. I have tried them in all conditions, through my favourite run routes in Bristol to up in Scotland and they really have performed well. My feet feel comfortable and they definately encourage correct running, good muscle use and they feel like they reduce the impact without being a ‘solid’ shoe.
I have always previously worn Mizuno Wave Riders or Wave Musha, and mike Free 2+. I find they feel like a cross between the two, a little more stability and support for longer runs than the Nike Free’s, yet more movement and ‘energy’ than the Mizuno’s.
If you fancy trying them (which I highly recommend) these points may help… Size wise I took .5 lower, so I am always a 7.5 UK size in all my trainers, but I took the 7, I am also a neutral runner. Like anything, if you are changing your shoes take 3-6 weeks to introduce them into your training, starting with shorter runs at a steady pace, them building in your longer runs & intervals. Make time for stretching, and foam rolling to avoid any niggles.
Then give them a go and do let us know how you get on too!
I quite fancy testing the Cloud Racer, look like an awesome shoe! Very tempting, and then Cloud Runner to feel the difference between the two shoes. I’ll let you know if I purchase them….
Many people highly recommend them, you only have to look at their testimonials from elite runner and triathletes to Coaches & Beginners.
In the box there is also an Owner Card, where you can log your trainers, find out more about the ON Shoes, have contact directly with those who make & design the shoes, and generally be the first to find out more, a nice personal touch which is certainly a Unique Selling Point!
