Kim has just completed her latest challenge, in her overall aim of raising £30,000 for charity in her 30th year!
The lastest challenge was to run three half marathons within 3 weeks….something she was unsure if she would achieve as she is used to running 10km off a bike and distance running is not her style!
However this weekend in the rain and wind she completed her final one, only to drive to London and back later that day to work with the dancers from Strictly! So thats the three done – 12th Oct Royal Parks, London (with Kalpna Woolf – well done!), 19th Oct Amsterdam (with Joss Palmer – well done!) and 26th Oct – Stroud!
Kim says, ” I am really amazed that I have actually managed to complete all three and feel fine! My times may not break any records, but I did it!! I really hope that I raise £800 from this challenge to allow the wonderful charity, Get Kids Going (www.getkidsgoing.org) to be able to buy a sports wheelchair to allow one child to participate in sport more freely. Often we take it for granted that if we want to do sport we can, whilst others wish they could, and have limitations. It would mean the world if we could help just one child achieve this so please, give whatever you can by visiting www.justgiving.com/kimingleby – thank you so much. As for the next challenge I am busy planning the Strictly Energised Charity Ball on March 21st 2009 – visit www.strictlyenergisedcharityball.co.uk – tickets on sale now! As for physical challenges I am up for considering anything……”
Keep an eye on the Blog and the Charity page for more information about the forthcoming events…..next one planned is the 2hr Charity Spinathon for Children in Need….potentially with a fancy dress collection too! All ideas welcome – email kim on firstname.lastname@example.org
