#ThursdayTherapy: Tapering for events

When you’ve been training for several months for an event, usually but not always endurance types, there comes a point when training should start to taper off. I.e. start to decrease the specific type of activity you will be doing in the event so cycling in a cycling event, running in a marathon event. The idea behind this is to allow your body to recover and is essential for optimal performance.
