Sports performance at Wimbledon!

With Wimbledon over for another year, for many it will be time to reflect on performance, building on strengths and moving forward to the next stage in a sporting career.  It was certainly an exciting fortnight of tennis, with Andy Murray currently being the highest ranked British player at no. 2 at the age of 22!

Murray beat wildcard entry Juan Carlos Ferrero in straight sets in the quaterfinals, before losing to sixth seed Andy Roddick, in the semifinals.  This was the furthest Murray had ever reached at Wimbledon and he will now spend time reflecting on what he can learn for his next championships…?!

An article published last week in The Scotsman gives fascinating insight into Murrays play by Emma James, a powerlifting champion and sports performance optimisation specialist who assessed and trained Head Coach Kim for her NLP, Hypnotherapy and Time Line Therapy exams.  To read the article please follow this link http://bit.ly/KmrXw

It is widely understood that strong mental state will gain the edge in competition and NLP is one of
the most powerful ‘mind’ tools within the modern world of sport.  Head Coach Kim has worked with a number of international athletes in this area.  Daz Parker, International Stunt Woman and triathlete says, “Kim has helped me achieve the impossible – to show me that I can do anything that I set out to do. Even the biggest dreams were made to look accessible and doable with her positive, outgoing personality which helped me push forward, taking what was in my head to actually physically achieving it.”
