Wow, I am so proud of Team Energised, I love you all! The passion, support & friendships towards any goal are so wonderful, I feel very lucky to work with such a great bunch of people, come and join us!
This weekend it was Sport Relief, so many great things going on throughout the country…. I am SO proud of all my Team, especially Tina Hansen completing a 24hrs Spinathon with her colleagues, Ross, Devilliars and Liz from David Lloyd Westbury and raising over £1,000. Tina, 2 years ago could hardly walk a mile & would never have believed this was possible then… what she has achieved is inspiring and empowering, she is one remarkable lady, and shows that anything truly is possible, just surround yourself with the right people, the right focus and courage. Do it. Sophia, then swam 100 lenghts, and again, she has had numerous big operations on her spine & this achievement is huge for her. The biggest well done ladies, and everyone else who got involved in this great cause.
Over the three days our good friend Claire Hobson who I met whilst running the Great South Run with Iwan Tomas, just casually ran three marathons for three amazing charities! How she achieved this I have no idea, but again with commitment, focus and courage, she did… big well done Claire.
Outside of the fitness, our lovely client Kalpna hosted the Karma Korma lunch for Frank Water Charity, raising awareness and lots of funds for this brilliant charity, based in Bristol. A happy, relaxed Sunday with delicious food, helping others, wonderful.
We had some great runs from Ceri Harris completing his first 10km in Aberdeen, Tim & Danni Pocock completing the Night Terror, Suzanne, Claire, Tom and Helen completing their last long runs before the London & Brighton Marathons… and many other great training sessions, good work.
And I, last minute got offered a bike to complete the Sufferfest 10 Challenge, riding a bike for 12hrs solid, 7am – 7pm for Sport Relief too! I’ve not been on my bike for more than an hour for a year… so this was definitely a crazy idea. I have no idea why (Or how on earth) I did it, but I did (including the ratty moments)! Biggest thank you to Jan & Maria for popping down and supporting us. I rode with 9 very strong guys at Bike Science in Bristol and we have raised nearly £3k for Sport Relief, met the Bristol Mayor and popped briefly onto BBC Points West… safe to say yesterday I was truly dead! But reviving now…. http://www.kimingleby.co.uk/blog/kim-ingleby/think-im-crazy-think-sport-relief
So that’s our weekend.. .how was yours? I hope it was filled with happiness and goodness.
Setting yourself a goal for charity, setting yourself a challenge to stretch your boundaries makes a difference, to your life and those around you, and to the charity you support.
If you are reading this and thinking I could never do that…. YOU CAN. Trust me, we are all normal people, you just have to commit, have courage and get the right support, create the time and go for it…. I dare you to have courage to…
Join us for Race for Life, Bristol 10km and look out for our challenges and events for Energised Big Birthday Charity Plans on 2nd and 3rd May and my challenge for our 10th Anniversary to be revealed on 1st April!
Have a wonderful last week of March, make it count…. happy times, tweet @kimingleby @energisedcoach what you are too.
