What a glorious Spring Weekend, I really hope it was with you too. I love the blossom, fresh crisp air and warmth entering the suns rays, a beautiful time of year.
How is your Spring training going? What do you need to enhance and what do you need to let go off?
Team Energised we out and about this weekend, racing in force from beginners to Elite, everyone did exceptionally well (and a Big Happy Birthday to our Sports Therapist Gail).
First up over the weekend we had Doug Wood (one of our Mental Strength Clients) in Abu Dhabi doing the triathlon, alongside the Brownlee Brothers (they had a great little piece on getting into triathlon in the Telegraph today) who kicked their season off to a great start. Following that were lots of UK races with great results, including the Minchinhampton 10km, Cheddar Gorge 15 miler and the Flying Monk 10 miler (High 5 to our Coach Kim who came 4th lady woo hoo) … and our Kim’s cousin, Louise Milne Home competing at Lincoln Horse Trials (supporting her all the way to Badminton Horse Trials in May, come and join us to support her and Nicky Roncoronni & Lucy Miller).
We had many clients doing their long runs for the London & Brighton Marathon’s too, exciting & nervous times. Make sure you take the time to rest, roll, adapt and recover Team and any questions do let us know (we have a blog on Running Bug with lots of great tips and will be writing more info soon).
Looking ahead to this week… do get involved in Sport Relief, it’s such a great cause packed full of activites for you to do. http://www.sportrelief.com/ At Energised we are running a Bootcamp on Tuesday evening, £10 per person to Sport Relief, starting at 6.30pm for an hour. Head Coach Kim will be spending time on Friday & Sunday in her Sport Relief Onesie, so look out for her, you can’t miss her… and there are running, swimming and cycling challenges all weekend. So do support this great cause and share what you are up to below or tweet @kimingleby @energisedcoach
Our next fundraising after this will be our Energised Big Birthday Weekend, with a party at Goldbrick House in Bristol on 2nd, £15 a ticket followed by a Big Bootcamp on Saturday 10.30-12, all to local charities. The following Sunday we will be running the Bristol 10km for charity, so plenty to get involved with… we are aiming to hit £40k for charity on 4th May for our 10th Birthday! More challenges coming 🙂
In the meantime, happy Spring Time and if we can support you towards you happy, confident Spring Body do let us know, Kim & The Team.
ps. Make sure you buy Ultrafit each month, our Head Coach Kim a columnist for the year.
