Here are Kate’s thoughts on the course
“Just completed Level 5 certificate in Rehabilitation for sport and exercise in Swindon with Core elements.
Great course, lots of ideas and exercises to help athletes get stronger and fitter after injury and then back to their chosen sport.
I particularly enjoyed learning to look at body position and gait during running to identify why problems may occur in either ankles, knees or hips.
The golden rule of any conditioning program is specificity and so we should choose the method to suit the sport or fitness activity.
I also learnt the importance of stretching and how the use of specific stretching techniques can be performed to develop Range Of Movement.
PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) can be used to develop flexibility after injury or as a preventative measure.
